They will share why they decided to expand their business to include an aquatic therapy center, how they chose a site and a pool, how they developed a business plan and the strategies they used to market their program.


They will also discuss how they managed the growth of their business including things like staffing, training, appointment scheduling and aquatic therapy program development.

  • annual pool statistics

In this webinar participants will receive an introduction to the principles of aquatic therapy, with specific applications for pediatric client populations.  There will be additional focus on physical therapy care planning for children including land to water transitions, treatment considerations, and documentation.

  • What pediatric populations can benefit from aquatic therapy
  • What treatment considerations and precautions/contraindications exist for this population

SPEAKER BIO:

Keith Ori has been a practicing physical therapist since 1982. He graduated from the University of Montana and worked at an acute care hospital for 4 years prior to opening his private practice in 1986. He is currently a clinical instructor with the University of Montana. He has opened 4 clinics specializing in post-operative physical therapy including general orthopedics, sports injury, total joint and spine rehabilitation. He works closely with 7 orthopedic surgeons and his staff in developing state of the art pool therapy and post-operative protocols for their clients. He is currently chairman of the reimbursement committee for the state of Montana. He has considerable experience in both clinical and administrative settings.

Patrick Gulick, a co-owner of Orthopedic Rehab, was born and raised in Whitefish, MT. He attended Montana State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 1996. He graduated from the University of Montana with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy Science in 1998. His specialties are Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and Spine Care. Prior to working in Kalispell, Patrick managed two clinics in Olympia, WA. He has been with Orthopedic Rehab since 2003
