Treating lower functioning clients can be challenging and can add additional concerns for the safety of the client and the therapist treating them. Often, treatments may be less intense and challenging due to these added obstacles. The buoyancy of water can be a fantastic way to support your clients, assist the therapy with activities and provide a safe environment to challenge clients without the fear of falling or of injuries. In this webinar we will review how facilities that are seeing patients for both PT and OT can work together on different functional tasks in the water, while also easing the stress and fear of treating this patient population in and aquatic setting.

Learning Objectives:

• Review how facilities that are seeing patients for both PT and OT can work together on different functional tasks in water
• Understand how to ease the stress and fear of treating lower functioning patients in an aquatic environment
• Discover the multitude of benefits aquatic therapy has for lower functioning patients.
