Lower functioning patients or clients with added medical complexities can greatly benefit from aquatic therapy. As therapy increases, patients and therapists want to feel comfortable looking to water as an option for treatment. Rachel McDermott has been a licensed PTA for 21 years with extensive clinical experience in acute, long term care, outpatient rehab services and for sports specializing in Aquatic Treatments. Rachel joined HydroWorx International in 2013 with a goal and focus on educating and training clinicians on the benefits of water and how to implement strong Aquatic Therapy Programs and treatments for optimal results for your patients. Rachel has been educating and providing CEU’s for Aquatic Therapy Treatments across the United States for the last 6 years as well as providing ongoing support after. Rachel graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 1997 with a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant licensed in Iowa.
